McRAES Hydraulics – Engineering was created when in 2007 McRAES Engineering – a specialist hydraulics and mechanical engineering contractor with over 50 years history, purchased Hydraulics Industries – a specialist hydraulic hose and fitting supplier for over 20 years.

Whangarei based, McRAES Hydraulics – Engineering has grown to become the largest supplier of specialist hydraulics – mechanical engineering services and parts in Northland and is also involved in numerous projects throughout New Zealand and internationally as far offshore as the Middle East.

50 years ago the company’s business was based around agriculture and while this is still an important market serviced by McRaes, the company has also became a major supplier of hydraulics and mechanical engineering services and parts to the marine, industrial, defence, civil works, transport and forestry sectors.
